I know it's old news, but I recently came across The Guardian's review of the Sundukian Theatre production of King John, which was performed in London in Armenian (and apparently it was an impressive performance, so yay).
If you're at all interested in reading Shakespeare in Armenian, the Arak29 website has a collection of his plays and sonnets (Eastern Armenian, traditional orthography). A strange thing I noticed: the Armenian title of King John is Ջոն Արքայ (Jon Arka) but King Lear is called Արքայ Լիր (Arka Lir). I wonder if it's because the plays were translated by three separate people?
Now, if the Sundukian Threatre decides to stage Henry IV or The Merry Wives of Windsor, who do you all think should play (the fat and gluttonous) Falstaff? Serzh Sargsyan?
