  • "The Grudge"

Never in my life have I been so scared after seeing a movie as I am after seeing "The Grudge". My nieces begged for me to take them out on Friday night, and so I did. They kept on telling me that they wanted to see "The Grudge". It was opening night, so we had to go to the 11:00 showing. OMG WHY DID I LISTEN TO THEM? I heard a critic from the Kevin and BEan show on KROQ saying that it wasn't scarier than "The Ring"....he lied! I'm not gonna tell you how the movie ends, but it's set in Japan. It's about a house that used to belong to a married couple and their son. After a murder/suicide, the house becomes "cursed". Everyone who walks into the house ultimately ends up with the curse. EEK! Imagine lying in bed at night, warm and cuddly, then you see a little JAPANESE BOY sitting at the edge of your bed. He's pale and sickly looking, with dark circles around his eyes. Then he opens his mouth REALLY REALLY wide and goes, "Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahh"

Anyway, please go see this movie. I haven't been able to sleep ever since. I leave the hallway light on and close all my closet and bathroom doors. If you already have seen it, tell me what you think....were you as scared as I am now, sitting in my office, alone, hearing footsteps everywhere...even though I know there is NO ONE in here!!! I WANT MY MOMMMYYYYY

why go and ruin the whole movie by giving away the plot and background which the viewer doesnt really see until a good way through.

now as for my analysis, yes scary, if you want the chick sitting next to you to be basically tearing your shirt off from fright, then do it, but the plot gets really stupid and i gotta say i was pretty dissapointed after the whole thing was done. Especially with the ending.
out of a possible 5 pomegrantes (this is the authentic Armenian movie grading system) i give it 3.
