I once tried watching the NC-17 film, The Lover a long time ago. Can't remember much, but there was some French girl and some Chinese dude.

I know of that movie. Annaud. But I haven't seen it. Come to think of it, I haven't seen much from him at all.

Opening this weekend:

* Domino - Don't know about this one
* Elizabethtown - Oh my Gorbachev, this looks awful.
* The Fog - Not sure about this either, looks schitty though.
* Good Night, and Good Luck - Looks interesting, I liked the trailer.

As Stark Evade said before, Where the Truth Lies is also showing.

Wow, James Berardinelli hated Where the Truth Lies. He usually likes Egoyan movies. Oh well.

He gave Mulholland Dr. a two out of four stars. That is boldly unacceptable.

And, for the love of Hell, Raiders of the Lost Ark is number eight in his "all-time top 100." That's above every Fellini movie ever made, every Antonioni movie ever made, every Lynch movie ever made, every Egoyan movie ever made, every Kubrick movie ever made, every Clouzot movie ever made, all but one of every Hitchxxxx movie ever made, every Kurosawa movie ever made, every Godard movie ever made, every Truffaut movie ever made, every Murnau movie ever made... should I keep going? Yes. Every Dreyer movie ever made, every Huston movie ever made, every Tarkovsky movie ever made, every Parajanov movie ever made, all but one of every Kieslowski movie ever made, every Greenaway movie ever made, every Wilder movie ever made, every Trier movie ever made, ever Renoir movie ever made, ever Welles movie ever made... ok, I'll stop. Screw that guy. He's an imbecile. And you can tell right off the bat because only a moron critic would have an "all-time top 100" list.

Actually, I think Innocent Voices looks interesting.

Serenity - I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. 8/10

Actually, I really enjoyed it. 7 isn't high enough. The visual effects weren't great, but for a movie based on a television show, it's pretty darn good.

Party Girl has got to be one of the weirdest movies ever. If David Lynch directed it, it would probably be one of the most confusing movies of all time. Go Parker Posey! 5/10
