Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

  • The Beatles

You guys keep posting all these old bands that I've never even heard of or I don't remember so I figured I'd discuss my all time favorite band: THE BEATLES. This is my story of how I become the ultimate fan of The Beatles.
My dad rented the movie 'Hard Days Night' when I was around 8 and me and my sisters just started to watch it like any other movie, but then they started to sing and the music, although we didn't understand half the things they were saying at the time, it was all just to much for us. The music just made us fall in love with them. After that we got our little brother to get hooked on them too, and he would sing it non stop. We made our dad rent the movie every weekend. My mom had even warned him in the beginning not to let us see it and he figured 'what harm could it do?' hahaha little did he know we would become fanatics
Of course since then I've seen the movie 'Help' but that wasn't as good as 'Hard Days Night'
I liked more of their earlier stuff...the romantic, all about love stuff, before they started getting high, but there are some songs that I liked in the later years, those songs had more meaning I think
In case you were wondering my favorite Beatle is Paul

I've been to 2 different shows where four guys imitate the Beatles and perform some of their music. It was amazing, although these guys looked a lot older, they still were able to capture everything about the Beatles, their movement, their accent, they way they acted on stage, it felt so real, if you actually sat far away enough were you wouldn't notice their faces you would start to think that they were the Beatles or that you have just performed so magic phenomenon and have gone back in time.

Best Beatles Tribute on Earth as per Rolling Stone. 1964 focuses on the quintessential moment in history, when The Beatles actually played before a LIVE audience. or over 30 years, 1964 has thrilled audiences with what is considered to be the most authentic and endearing tribute to The Beatles.

If these bands perform anywhere near where you live (trust me if they performed in NC, they would most likely perform in LA, NY, etc.) you should defiently get tickets to these shows. I prefer the 1964 The Tribute, I thought they were better in signing, but both of them performed really well as though they were the real Beatles.

So it's your turn now..share your stories of how you were introduced to the Beatles, and how you absolutly love them...and whats your favorite Beatles song?

oh come on now guys and gals..there's bound to be someone other than myself who is a fan of the Beatles, or at least enjoys their music...speak up
This song has been stuck in my head for the past two days, so lets sing along while your replying to this thread

    NOWHERE MAN
    He's a real nowhere Man,
    Sitting in his Nowhere Land,
    Making all his nowhere plans
    for nobody.

Doesn't kave a point of view,
Knows not where he's going to,
Isn't he a bit like you and me?
    Nowhere Man, please listen,
You don't know what you're missing,
Nowhere Man, the world is at your command.

He's as blind as he can be,
Just sees what he wants to see,
Nowhere Man can you see me at all?
Doesn't have a point of view,
Knows not where he's going to,
Isn't he a bit like you and me?
    Nowhere Man, don't worry,
    Take your time, don't hurry,
Leave it all till somebody else
    lends you a hand.

    He's a real Nowhere Man,
    Sitting in his Nowhere Land,
    Making all his nowhere plans
    for nobody.

We all know the Beatles rock, it's sort of self evident when you leave the womb.

Since they are considered the first step of rock n' roll, anyone who dislikes them, is, plainly put, an idiot.

Heres another song for all you Beatle lovers

              BACK IN THE U.S.S.R
Flew in from Miami Beach BOAC
Didn't get to bed last night
On the way the paper bag was on my knee
Man I had a dreadful flight
              I'm back in the U.S.S.R.
You don't know how lucky you are boy
              Back in the U.S.S.R.

Been away so long I hardly knew the place
Gee it's good to be back home
Leave it till tomorrow to unpack my case
              Honey disconnect the phone
              I'm back in the U.S.S.R.
You don't know how lucky you are boy
              Back in the U.S.S.R.

Well the Ukraine girls really knock me out
              They leave the West behind
And Moscow girls make me sing and shout
That Georgia's always on my mind.

              I'm back in the U.S.S.R.
You don't know how lucky you are boys
              Back in the U.S.S.R.

Show me round your snow peaked mountains way down south
Take me to your daddy's farm
Let me hear your balalaika's ringing out
Come and keep your comrade warm.
              I'm back in the U.S.S.R.
You don't know how lucky you are boys
              Back in the U.S.S.R.

I was almost fired for breaking into "Helter Skelter" in the middle of a Radio Disney show I was doing at Innoventions in Disneyland. I rock.

I'd rather listen to Jay-Z over Beatles samples than their music. Thank you and goodbye.
