I consider myself a pretty musical guy. I like alot of stuff, but sometimes it's annoying having to remember all the stuff you like. My complaints in this department with rock and roll lately are that there is a stasis within it. All the bands sound alike, yet try desperately to be unique and come up with a good unique band names that only white people can come out with. Not many bands sound different or sing outside of the same musical cliche. There have been too many bands out there relying on boring teenage depression these days. Whether it be Linkin Park’s whining about being grounded by their mothers, to Modest Mouse' no talent, to AFI’s incomprehensible, effeminate screechings about not being happy about something I don't know, it’s impossible to turn on the radio without being bombarded with this crap. The list of bands that annoy me are endless but we can begin with a few.

Linkin Park
Modest Mouse
AFI
Morrisey
Lenny Kravitz
White Stripes

That should start us off, to cancel out all the possible choices for who will be the savior of rock and roll.

The only Rock Band I actually listen to is System of a Down. i'll be honest, the only reaosn I got interested in them in the first place is because they were Armenians, but after listening to them I genuinely like their music.

System is nice, but I hope they don't start sucking like most bands that get exposed to fame and popularity, and then the quality of their music begins to wane.

almost all new rock bands suck after the first album, i say if you go for rock go for the classic rock like pearl jam, pink floyd, rolling stones, van halen, AC/DC, the cure, jim morrison, guns and roses, metallicaaaaaaaa my favorite and of course led zeppelin- o btw any of u guys know where to get a good deal on a zeppelin t shirt?

Oh God... don't mention classic rock around me. When me and my friend drive down to Irvine that's ALL he plays!!! I always cry...

I have no problem with most of that list except for maybe The Cure. 4 years after the Cure announced they would split up, they’re back. It's more like, 4 years after they announced their breakup, they still haven’t phucked off. They are an annoying band, the dregs of post punk rock, and their simple easy to digest lyrics are all a band needs to appeal to mainstream masses.
