    you...have to picture singing it...

    Anyway...

As the media influence gets bigger, quality is only going to get worse. They've coerced the masses into an ingorant numbness (not that the masses ever liked to think), and now it's become the mainstream. It's an epidemic. We've sunken so low, that people actually think Linkin Park is a deep, thought provoking band. You MORONS! They keep whining about crappy relationships over, and over again. How is that deep, or emotional? This non-emotional "Emo" crap has grown tiresome. They're merely a different sounding version of rap, or boy bands. Same sh*ty quality in the..."music"...as R & B, pop, or rap. And it's only going to get worse. I think Mousy's new form of music, Silence, is going to be the savior of rock.

How inspiring, another fan of Silence. I thought I was alone.

Lenny Kravits is considered rock? Really? Hmmm.

I would like to add Simple Plan and Good Charlotte to that list. They are the main two bands that sing about teenage depression.
Simple Plan: Daddy doesn't love me because I'm not perfect.
Good Charlotte: Hang in there. Don't commit suicide.
        yada yada yada.

You guys' ever listened to Trapt? Their song Headstrong is pretty good.
        I see...

Actually, I visited the set of that music video shoot at one of the set stages in Hollywood back in 2003 when I was working for a music video company. The set was all green screened, and it was a pretty long shoot.

That song actually is a pretty good song and has potential to be catchy, but I got sick of it hearing it over and over again during playback on the set.

It's time to consider the possibility that rock has finally gone the way of jazz and ragtime in that it just is no longer a viable vehicle in which a new artist can do anything truly original. You'll get a great talent every now and then that can play, but I doubt that rock has any really exciting twists left in it. The last pure rock band I can even think of that really had its own sound was Television, and that was back in the late 70's.
