    When Sarah Surfs the Internet

    When Sarah surfs the Internet
    she starts by checking mail.
    She answers all her messages
    from friends in great detail.

    She plays a game, or maybe two,
    and watches a cartoon,
    then chats with kids in places
    like Rwanda and Rangoon.

    She reads about her favorite bands.
    She buys an MP3.
    She downloads movie trailers
    and she looks for stuff for free.

    She reads about celebrities
    and dreams of wealth and fame,
    then watches music videos
    and plays another game.

    If you should say, "Your time is up.
    I need to use the Net,"
    she always whines, "I haven't got
    my homework finished yet!"

    Noah's Flood
    fallen angels came to earth
    to hybrids, women gave birth
    thus, the flood of Noah's day
    to sweep the hybrids away

    They Said It Couldn't Be Done

    They said it couldn't be done.
    They laughed when I said I would do it.
    They said that it couldn't be done.
    I rolled up my sleeves and went to it.

    I struggled, I strove, I strained.
    I fought at it day and night.
    They said that it couldn't be done.
    They were right.

    Friends

    I feel like I've known you forever
    Although I only met you sometime this past year
    But our friendship will remain forever
    No matter what shall cross our paths and hearts

    The best thing that's happened to me
    Is finding a forever friend like you
    You're there to listen, help, and talk to
    And best of all, I know I can confide in you

    Some say the best love is one sprung from friendship
    So I feel this is why we should try
    Time leads us in this direction
    Should we follow on down the line?

    Friendship and love are always intertwined
    Too close which sometimes causes confusion
    But if we don't try, we will never know if it was meant to be
    But forever you will remain my friend

    I don't know if this is going to work
    I'm not totally sure we should try
    But I have all these mixed feelings
    Bottled up inside

    I love you both inside and out as my best friend
    And I know that you love me that way too
    So when I say "best friends forever"
    That even means when I'm saying" Goodbye, I love you, too."

    I love it!!!

    Hmmmmm...

    Today I was down in L.A.,
    dealing with the epically huge fray.
    Got a bunch of shopping done,
    made it back to the 101,
    I must say today was a good day.

    A DREAMER OF DREAMS

    Author: Gloria Jean Berry

    You have come to me from a distant land,
    Dreamer of dreams, to fill my hearts desire,
    Sweet music flowing from your nimble hand
    That plays within... to light my passion's fire.

    A symphony of word and thought you bring.
    Excitement builds upon crescendo's sound,
    Brought forth in tones to make my light heart sing
    For all the beauty that, with you, I've found.

    A life is changed in just an instant's time,
    All darkness fled before that brillaint sun
    That shines from spoken words of softest rhyme
    And speaks of treasures, only just begun.

    This mystic meeting gives my heart a glow
    That few have seen and only you will know.

    Standing At The Door

    Standing at the door,
    dog tags in hand.
    About to tell
    a loved one about
    their loss.

    Thinking of how
    it could have been me.
    Wondering how they
    will react.

    Reaching up
    with heavy hand,
    I knock on the door.

    Waiting nervously,
    I prepare myself
    for what's to come.

    Wishing anxiously
    someone else had come.
    Wanting desperately
    not to have to
    deliver such news.

    He gave his life
    for this country
    that he loved.

    Dying so suddenly
    without warning.
    He never got to say
    "Goodbye, my love."

    Sadly thinking
    how to treat
    the wounds
    I'm sure to inflict.

    Praying for peace
    and getting only
    a saddened heart.

    The only tribute
    I can give
    is this poem.

    His memory
    will never fade
    from my mind.

    His lust
    for life
    never replaced.

    His joy
    in his family
    and his friends,
    never forgotten.

    He will
    live on
    'till the end of time.

    He is
    one of us,
    the unforgotten vet.

    A Food for Everything

    Meals are the food for the body;
    Knowledge is the food for the mind;
    Meditation is the food for the spirit;
    Music is the food for the love of heart;
    Dreams are the food for the consciousness;
    Prayer is the food for the Almighty;
    Love is the food for the living heart;
    Thoughts are the food for the brain;
    Colourful ink is the food for the pen;
    Ideas are the food for the stories;
    Truth is the food for the will;
    Sun’s energy is the food for the plants;
    Plants are the food for the living beings;
    But one man’s food is another man’s poison!

    FootBall

    Upon the Astroturf the football bounces wildly
    Though their hands and under their feet
    Around their ends their helmet’s meet
    Still the ball bounces wildly

    Upon the ground to put it mildly
    The sound of shoulder pads crashing violently
    Number eleven, and number ten
    Down they go and up again

    Still the ball bounces wildly
    Forty yards then twenty
    Ten, nine, eight
    And when the ball comes to rest

    The referee put it best
    Taking it back to its beginning
    The ball had won this round
    Apparently!
