Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

They come out the sides at an angle, and then are cut perfectly parallel to the vehicles chassis. and that both is functional and makes it look like beautiful. plus, after this year the stock sounding mufflers arent as good, when you here a 96 viper, you KOW its a 96 viper

Unless it is a classic, Corvettes are ugly peices of fecal matter.

And when it comes to a Viper, if I could afford one, I would buy a Porsche instead. That way it would not look ridiculous and it would not fall apart.

you cant compare corvetts with porsche because theyre not in the same price range. (unless your talking about the 225 hp boxter)

Obviously if a car costs twice as much as a corvette its gonna be a better car. Corvetts have been arround for over 50 years for a reason they cant be beat for their price.. end of story

as for looks I cant argue with you becuase everyone has different taste. I know I would love to drive one!

Saddly enough, not necessarily ... but it better be a better car for that much money.

Well....I could see by some of the remarks they were making about America, that this was going to be a biased commentary. It's funny how he went from bashing it so harshly, to suddenly saying it's a very fun car.

I found it ironic that they were giving its handling such props, because that is the one area that American cars have always been bashed on. The guy continously making fun of the leaf suspension makes it that much more ironic that it was a hair behind an AWD Evo on the course time. It obviously was MORE than adequate, so if it works/is effective, why bother with a different system? Just to say it's more advanced?? That's what I hate about imports. It's not like their engineering is any better just because it's different and newer.

The complaint about the toughness of shifting.....maybe it's because we designed it for brut Americans, not European sissys. The guy running the course seemed to be shifting very smoothly and easily. And that thing about running over the tiny little stone giving him a back ache....that was just retarded.

And where has this guy been that he's just now running into Heads Up Display? Several GMs have had that for over a decade, now. Hell, my freaking Pontiacs from '90 have HUD. All be it none of the rest of them are quite as extravagant as the ones in the 'Vette. The new Grand Prix' also display compass and outside temperature on the windshield now. What's next, is he going to have a heart attack when he sees the stereo controls in the steering wheel?

As for cheap, plastic interiors...I can't really arguee with that one. It's one area that American car companies really piss me off in. I get tired of replacing odd ball pieces that were broken by the previous owner in my cars. Then again, a lot of the stuff that breaks.....I just don't see how, as in the location the part is in...I just can't imagine the circumstance in which it was broken.

By the way, did anyone catch the fact that one of the cars it was up against was a HONDA NSX, not an Acura? That's because in Japan, Acura, Lexus, and Infinity don't exist. The respective companies just take higher end Honda, Toyota, and Nissan models from Japan, and rebadge them under the different, much more expensive labels in the US, because they know rich Americans are idiots. We're not doing much to disprove them, either, with all the stuck up morons driving those cars thinking they have something special.

The C6 is going to take some getting used to on the looks for me. I'm not found of the new front fascia. Way to Ferrari looking to me. It's not bad looking at all, but it lost some of it's.....Corvette feel with those headlights. But bottom line is, for the price range it's in, it is DEFINITELY a good bang for the buck. By the way, you wanker, that's not the best the US has to offer in sports cars. You apparently haven't been introduced to the over 500 hp Z06 version of the 'Vette, you dumbass!

                  nicely said.

Its not just in Japan that they use Honda, Toyota, etc. in stead of Acura and Lexs. Its everywhere in the world but here.

That doesnt mean Acura drivers are Idiots. sure an Acura costs more than a honda, but in japan The Honda NSX also costs more than a Honda Civic. Your paying extra for the qulity of the car not the acura name.

Or the 625 horspower Supercharged Blue Devil

                  quote from Auto Week
Chevy is clearly investigating an ultra-performance Corvette designed to do battle with—and conquer—the mid-engined GT from rival Ford, as well as many supercars from across the pond. Called Blue Devil (no one knows why it has that name—could it be Chevy hopes to bedevil Ford’s blue oval?), unofficial stats make the name seem appropriate. Reportedly producing 625 hp, Blue Devil’s initial power will come from a supercharged 427 engine—and it will use lightweight carbon fiber for key body parts, reducing weight by several hundred pounds to drop the super C6 to about 2900 pounds.

Well, the 2003 corvette that was raced against a blue angels tomcat was a very very powerful beast of a machine. A double supercharged 512 cubic centimeter engine, putting out almost 1000 horses and equally as much torque. With some special pavement treatment, this corvette was able to speed to 60 mpg in under 2 seconds.. 1.9 to be exact.. this is literally AMAZING!!.. as much as i dont really like the vette.. this was amazing to see.. it reached 10 mph and back to zero in under 6 seconds... thats creating over 1 g of acceleration in the horizontal direction.. this was the lenguenfelter project.. and some lucky ass guys got to drive it out
