That sucks.

The last work I had done (at a dealer) I paid much more than normal. The person who insisted gets different service, there. They rewired my Jeep top, the windows, doors, etc. (and still, they are f'd up.) That little dealer wiring experiement cost me over 500 dollars. I went in for a problem with my shifter, came out paying a (*hitload of money, and nothing really fixed and a crapy job with putting things back where they should be... for example, the seal around my sunroof looks like a 3rd grader got to try out the glue gun... aweful. I am angry.

I use yoga to try not be angry and to not hate...

This car forum category should be broader--cars and computers, [technology in general?], etc.

Watch out Anahita, you are becoming a car bore.

Where do I post a question about finding a good 'mechanic' for my laptop that screeches at me [literally] when I try to turn it on.

Just disable the speaker I suppose (switch it off using the bios) - unless it is an error message that the motherboard is beeping at you.

Exactly. I think AC could add emotes to improve the forum.

Sidenote: I like the AAC forum, as is. Please LEAVE IT as a link in the 'new' format... or leave it , as is in general...

In person, (at least for women) there are several hundreds of feelings that can be said without saying (more often while talking, too...)

Majority of the mechanics rip you off. Especially the Armenians I took it to I had to change 3 mechanics before I found a guy thats American & so far no complaints.

That was a late nite working, plus a little later other influences, talking.

My laptops issues are hard to deal with. I've turned to my 'strategy' with my car. I'm nice to the machine hoping to change it. My laptop was screeching. I tried to understand. I did a bunch of stuff and even bought it a new monitor for $5 (don't tell my laptop that, though.) I now can run it, at least.

I think my Jeep was 'happy' when I shampooed the carpets last week. It is running better.

Laptops sux because once it gets ruined your kinda screwed in a way same with a Jeep LOL.
