Who said I think the US should get involved? I certainly did not. But I can still show my support for what the Iranian people are doing for themselves. I did not bring up the US government's response to the events.

With all do respect Lucin I disagree. Some of us here hold Iranian passport, served in military, travel back and forth, and have actually voted in this elections. We have every right to demonstrate.

Yeah, but your military service is complete, you are now safe and have the money to come and go as you please. You do not care for the poor who will end up suffering from a more Capitalistic (corrupt) regime.

He is not posting in the wrong thread. He is just pointing out to the double-standard of the American officials in facing this issue while they are using more or less similar methods to lie to their people. (ie. The American elections, the illegal occupation of Afghanistan, Iraq, and many more)

The foreign policy is out of the control of the president regardless and this Obama character seems to be alright with talking with whoever it is in power at the moment. The only thing I see happening different in terms of foreign policy is that Mousavi will not talk about the Jewish massacres of 1939-1945. Mousavi is in favour of Iran's nuclear right which is the current excuse dug up by the West to antagonise Iran and try to weaken it.

That's what is confusing for me when I see all the support for Moussavi from the western media and leaders while he is only a moderate conservative as I said previously and will NOT go into big concessions if that's what they are expecting to happen...

I went down to Wilshire yesterday for the demonstrations and there was a good crowd in front of the Federal Building. This is not your normal demonstrations; we want a revolution and want these monkeys out of power. Enough is enough; it is time for Iranians to claim their country from these tyrants. They are no longer a legitimate government after fooling us and stealing our votes in broad daylight...

This is more about Khamenei than Ahmadinejad.

I want Rafsanjani (the head of council) and his gang of Mullahs to bring down Khamenei and put Khatami in charge with Mousavi as president. We do not want a Western puppet government. They are not involved in this as so many conspiracy clowns here like to believe. Nobody said that this is a revolution against Islam. This is about your rights

Iran has been under sanctions by the west ever since the Western puppet government was removed. There is no conspiracy when the facts are exposed.

Take a look at the two countries east and west of Iran. They just happen to be Iraq and Afghanistan. Now tell me if you'd feel threatened as a country when you're surrounded.
