I wonder if Azerbaijan as a “friend” of Israel would agree with every thing that was said here.
Politics is not about the pursuit of morality nor what's right or wrong
Its about self interest at personal and national level often at odds with the above.
Great politicians pursue the National interest and small politicians personal interests

Armenia got the land in defense and the demographics on the ground has changed so Azerbaijan can either move to Turkey or Israel since they are all joined at the hip.

          Agreed.
The reason I raised the question is because I could see a parallel with what Natanyahou was saying and the Armenian position vis a vi their respective conflicts.

Indeed many parallels exist though in Artsakh's case, the population that had lived there for ages stood up and kicked the others out after a war whereas in Israel, J3ws who settled there allied with J3ws who were there kicked the Palestinians out before and after the Israeli declaration of independence.

Though in our case we support "self determination" while Israel may be more firm on the principle of territorial integrity.

BY ADAM ERELI - The growing Russian military buildup in Armenia is a threat to the U.S. and its allies.

Yesterday it was The Washington Post.

Also an interesting read from one of the past members on this forum. Excellent analysis of the present geopolitics of our region.

It is orchestrated by Western media. Now it is BBC.

Azerbaijan 'silencing critics' by detaining activists
Switzerland has offered a prominent Azeri human rights campaigner refuge at its embassy - but many others are still being silenced, critics say.

                  Today, the contradiction.
How Muslim Azerbaijan had satire years before Charlie Hebdo
A century before Islamist gunmen attacked France's satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo, a similar magazine was being read by Muslims in the Russian empire.

Its the lobbying firms employed by the Turkish Government. Hit pieces were posted in Forbes, the Washington Times, and Huffington Post. It totally backfired. If you read the comments to all of these articles, commenters (who are vastly non-Armenian) have completely lambasted the articles. No one is buying it. Turkey is such a disaster that the American public (and the European public as well) is starting to finally wake up from its polly-anna slumber. This is not anecdotal but the new reality. Turkey is seen (and rightfully so) as an ally of ISIS and al-Qaeda, dictatorial, islam-fascist, anti-West, anti-Chrisitan, unreliable/lying, and finally criminal, which again, they obviously are. For all of Turkeys detractors there is a growing admiration for Russia/Putin and Russia's actions in Syria, however reluctantly that might be by some circles (WH, State Dept., etc). In the meantime Azerbaijan is now being picked apart by the media. It is clear the Turkey and Azerbaijan's PR can no longer accomplish much. Turkey's list of enemies are growing by legions- which is a self-fulfilling prophesy considering Turkey's miscalculations, treatment of non-Turks, paranoia, etc. Turkey is truly becoming the nexus of what we, Armenians, always knew it to be. The PR firms and lobbyists will contend to be paid but the Turks have already lost in the long run. Again, we are going to see the evidenced more and more.
