    Yes Ed simple as that! No licensing

    During WW1 military recruited the best infantrymen to train them to become an pilots and back then biplane aircrafts where like flying motorcycles.

          Germans were the best......many manouvers were created back then and still being used today in dogfight.

          Emmelmann
          tight turns cut inside the enemy path closing distance
          Clover leaf
          Barrel roll
          Stall/spin recovery and used to loose altitude fast
          Hammer head
          Spiral
          Slips
          Opposite controls (aileron and elevator) and control the aircraft with Rudder and power lever. Side slip
          Slow flight at the edge of stall allowing the enemy to pass you and in front of you.
