It's a realtime strategy multiplayer, like starcraft. I don't know the games you mentioned.

I play warhammer 40k on pc sometimes, my brother is 9 times more into it than me though (and is consequently that much better at it).

How is it compared to other mmos like EQ,EQ2 and AOC?

Well.. I liked The Turks in Final Fantasy VII series. They were not the bad side... Shinra and The Turks were like a 3rd side. Sometimes allied with the player and sometimes against him/her.
