Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

You don't have the option of "No, I've heard of it, but I have more pressing concerns at this stage in my life."

Oh, my bad. Well, why don't you play it?

I mean, I got stuff too, but its just a game that is tight as hell, plus sociable...sorta.

          You enjoy sport games? Really?

I'm not a fan of em. Just too boring for me, personally.

I just beat Modern Warfare yesterday. Great game. Felt a lil short though.

              ^Ok, well.

What if you got free time, and you wanna relax and hang with friends or something.

Or you feel like watching a movie. Instead of watching a film, why not play a game for an hour.

Its the same thing, but more interactive, depending on the story.

God of war had a great story.

Modern Warfare, doesn't have much of a story line, but its a fun game.

I know you have more concerning stuff in your life right now.

But anyone can easily spare an hour to play a game.

I mean, look at yourself right now.

Instead of spending minutes/hours a day on a forum, why not play a game?

                Re: God of War

First of all, I don't know what God of War is. I'm going to assume it's a computer game, let me Google it.

Okay, nevermind, it looks like it's on PS2. Either way, I am usually at work when I am posting on this forum. So, no television, no game.

Second, to play the game, I need to dig up my PS2 from the garage and bring it upstairs. Games are addicting and if it's good, I'll get into it. With that said, no matter how interesting they, they don't interest me anymore.

I have to finish directing a short film by school starts, in exactly one week. Hopefully, we will finish shooting by Friday which gives me a weekend to relax. In the meantime, I'm constantly thinking about the film and several other personal issues. I don't blow away my freetime at home but I'm usually not at home to begin with. The little time I do have can't go to playing a game because if I'm at home, I'm doing something. This is why I haven't been able to keep up with my film marathon for over a week now -- writing, producing, directing for my film.

Plus, once school starts, it's all downhill from there. I need another set of straight A's this semester. That's not the worst part, I need to turn in some heavy applications by the end of this year. And by heavy, I mean, my life depends on them.

                  Re: God of War

                  ^Wow dude, thats intense.

But hey, if your life is this stressful and busy, I guess it makes sense to not play. But when you do have the time, I say pick it up and do it.

So, you write, produce and direct films? No way.

Hey, Do you need extra's or anything? I wanna be an actor and I'll take any role.

I mean, i guess if you have another project and need people, you think I'll be able to be part of it?

Also, what does your life depend on? What kinda applications?

                    Re: God of War

My life isn't stressful and if it seems like it, that's good. I want to do something with my life and since I don't have a lot going for me right now, I like to create the opportunity myself.

I don't need any extras for the film I'm currently shooting. I don't know what I'll face in future but generally these type of films don't need any extras. Unless it's a fairly large production, we can do without them. As far as acting goes, I would always perfer someone with experience. More often than not, there is someone with really good acting experience who expresses interest in the films.

What does my life depend on? I'm not sure if I know what you mean but I work and go to school. I'm applying to several film schools which I will attend in Fall 2009. In the meantime, I'm trying to gain as much experience as possible -- both for myself and my resume. I worked on a local television show as a producer and writer and have currently set out to make this film on my own.
