Ck do you remember that when we joined there were about 3 or 4 people posting sporadically, with an exception of Anonymouse whose dedication to post whoring cannot be surpassed. Shortly after activity level picked up, thanks to few newbies (who shall remain nameless) and simply due to the course of evolution, the other half of oldies returned. Although currently participating quite actively, they are now experiencing nostalgia for the golden past.

Sort of reminds me of the Russian immigrants in my neighborhood, who receive welfare, pay with food stamps, drive Mercedes and buy mink hats to match their mink coats, in other words reaping the benefits of their current establishment. With all of the luxury they still manage to gather together and complain how it was so much better back in their country, while Vanya is cleaning his ear with a 24k diamond ring on his obese finger.

I personally get a kick out of old and new threads all the way from “ara, ovor hya togh astegh ga, oh yea hyeren khosa” to “Anon I see you are online too.” Creativity is creativity in every shape or form and it’s timeless.

You know there always comes a time when a baby needs to part with his pacifier, in your case please plug it back in, stop yer cryin and enjoy the ride on the new roller coaster of foruming!

          Girls, don't feel bad.
The board HAD died down before the arrival of a newbies, and I'm glad to see that things have picked up lately.
What some of the older members miss (I think) is the atmosphere we had here. It seems that we were less inclined to gang up on one person (except, of course, speakenglishordie, or surfer in that infamous iraq thread) in order to degrade him, or make ourselves look smarter. I don't know, maybe it was a more laid-back atmosphere.

But I still hate it when old threads come back up after a long hibernation, except in some cases, when they're really funny.

ooremn, don't feel rejected now, we like you too

How come you decided to reply to me in the irony thread??

As for my xxxxxy woman-ness about bringing back old posts, well I still don't like it when ALL the posts I find on a given day, like today, are recycled from days past. Ok, I understand, you guys are the xxxx, and nothing compares to the things you guys posted before. But still! At least one or two NEW TOPICS would have been nice. I was looking forward to posting some nonsense thing or some interesting thing in reply to a new post today. But I found myself looking through things done and gone already.

              Anyway.

Perhaps my post might not have been so hostile as to have to be relegated into the flamers forum had I not been in a bad mood about other things too today. So in the spirit of giving you a glimpse of the inner working of my brain, I'll enlighten you.

              Bejug's Lesson For the Day:

I finally FINALLY FINALLY!! realized today that (and this goes for both GUYS and GIRLS I have had experiences with, so don't think this realization is because I am a woman scorned or something, because I'm not) PEOPLE SUCK. Truly, really, honestly. People, no matter how much they might tell you they are your friend, they like you, they care about you, even THEY LOVE YOU, probably don't mean it, and they suck. Seriosuly. It's been what like 21 years of my life already and it took THIS LONG for me to realize this. Sad, I know. I have spent far too long being nice to people, and giving people the benefit (if one can call oneself that) of being my friend, and caring about people, and giving them another chance if they did me wrong before, and what do I get for it? Nothing but being hurt because I realize not all people are GOOD, not all people are NICE, and most of the time people will just take what you ofeer for GRANTED, WALK ALL OVER YOU, and then not give a xxxx what happens to you as a result. Oh yeah. True story. i can name names, but in the spirit of anonymity, let me just say. THANK YOU xxxxxxxS WHO SUCK.

              and HAVE A NICE DAY.

Oh my dear Bejug, in now way was I referring to you in the above statement. I definitely phrased it wrong for you to misinterpret it in such a negative way. I was merely referring to the people that were whining about the forum not being the same, in fact the entire post was dedicated to them, and if anything I was appraising our constructive influence. He he he.

So please don’t misunderstand, you incontrovertibly add a significant essence to this forum. I find your posts quite entertaining, how could I possibly not?!
