Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

i think theres a reason for the political forum. so whoever likes talking about politics so much go into those xxxxing rooms and talk about it. i can bet if we took a vote on who likes all these political debates and conversations in the general forum, 90% of the members would agree that it should take place in the appropriate forum. and there's only 2 or 3 people that talk about politics so it wont be that hard to use the other forum. politics= nothing. and if you disagree on me with this then xxxx you

politics isn't a bad thing to have knowledge of. don't get me wrong on that, but whoever wants to talk about it or has questions about it can use the other forum for it since every thread gets turned into something political by a few people. if it wasn't discussed as much then it wouldn't be a big deal but it does.

(i already know the 2 or 3 people that are gonna trip out on this and try to lash back at me, so again xxxx you and whatever remarks you come up with cause i don't want to reply to this thread)

You know the political forum is for ARMENIAN POLITICS, my noobie friend.

I say noobie because even though you may carry the 555 posts with you as a sign of your old wisdom, you still post like a noob.

      Adieu.

post like a newb...hmmm. maybe you can elaborate on that more. the ARMENIAN POLITICS forum doesn't HAVE to be only things that are ARMENIAN related. its in the serious discussion section and political talk would best fit there. im not the admin so i have no control over this. but my mere 555 posts is nothing compared to your almost 3000 posts. im telling you, you're gonna have to shave and shower soon! it's not healthy.

I'm still alive and it seems pretty healthy to me.

Judging others and what they deem "healthy" by your standards is not good.

          It creates hostility and antagonism.

Learn my young padowan, that is the basis of all history and political systems.

Actually omniscent Anon does the opposite of that, he is able to address issues from all different angles and defends the individual choice of having a different outlook. But somehow certain humor and sarcasm makes people uncomfortable because they themselves are compelled to remain in their comfort zone of the narrow mindedness and therefore might perceive that approach as an insult. Perhaps you should try to observe things from a larger perspective and take things on a lighter note. The art of communication is to disagree yet hold hands, and that is what Armenians should practice more often to achieve unity rather than uncalled hostility.

hey newbie, your post count would fool anyone lol. i've been here long enough to know anon's humor and sarcasm. i don't feel insulted when he says something with his own outlook, he does that to everyone. unfortunately you can't see my own sarcasm or joking but it's ok, its online, but try to look for clues like "lol" or the smiley faces. oh and you think i'm being hostile lol?

Yours would as well, considering the fact that you are not a newbie.

I am glad you don’t, now get down on your knees and worship me.

If there was some sarcasm or joking to see, I would be the first one to detect it, perhaps you’ll be more successful at getting your message across if you were serious.

oh and you think i'm being hostile lol?
Hostile no, making a failing attempt at provocation yes. Notice no "LOLs" here.

Was I the third guy that you were expecting to lash out at your discontent with politics. The reason I choose to not enter into discussions in that forum is because it is strictly revolved around Armenian politics.

Quite frankly, when it comes to Armo politics, there isnt much to talk about!!! U.S. politics is directly relevant to us because U.S. is the country we live in.

Whats funny is that this thread is political in itself. You are calling for a vote to have no more political conversations. I say you are corrupt dictator, trying to limit free speech by means of intervention from a central authority (admin). If you dont like political threads then keep doing what you have been...dont participate in them! You get an A for self contradiction.

I urge you to go outside some time. Your countless championships with arcades translates into countless hours of vegetation. Sunshine=good.
