Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

  • Happy Thanksgiving!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't care if you think this holiday is too commercial.

I realize that the roots of this holiday come from a bad beginning, when the native americans were slaughtered, and that's awful.

I don't care if you don't believe in God or any kind of higher power, and think we all just are here to live until tomorrow and then when we get to tomorrow to live until the next day.

I don't care if you are super duper animal rights oriented and will be eating tofurky instead of turkey today. i understand the fact that turkeys are bred in abominable conditions and fattened and then slaughtered by the millions just for this occasion. (I bought an organic turkey so as not to contribute to that)

All these things I know, and understand and I would like to say now that I would like to move past all the negativity surrounding Thanksgiving, and wish you all a HAPPY THANKSGIVING anyway. No matter if you will thank God or yourelves or no one, you all know you have things to be thankful for, so lets just say thanks for today and move on.

Sooo.... Gorsy and Mousie and Baron and Omniscient and Violet and Anileve and Emil and Fireburnt and Flames and jahannamig and fstkhnan and patlajan and Pheral and Sharik and Langonid and Tigran and SexyAries and Artsakhtsi and surferdude and Disksoleil and dstyle and admin and Damnfine (did i ever welcome you here? if i forgot... welcome!) AND WHOEVER ELSE I FORGOT.

Happy Thanksgiving all. It felt so nice to be singled out, that i decided, in turn, to single you all out and wish you a good one.

    So have a good one.

    !!!

even though our thanksgiving was 2-3 weeks ago, thx!

          tips on cooking turkey:

Fold the wings behind the shoulders so they don't flop around or burn up too quickly.

          enjoy...

"Puritanocentrism is an invention of Lincoln's war propaganda, when he unconstitionally declared the holiday in 1863, to suppress the earlier settlement--and Thanksgiving--in Virginia. As xxxx Cheatham points out, it took place in 1619 on the north bank of the James River. Then there are the Dutch in Manhattan, a commercial people without the meddling itch of the early Yankees, whose spirit is alive and unwell in Bushian colonialism in Iraq. Earlier still were the French and Spanish settlers, but few Americans north or south were interested in them."

CK...I would like to take this moment to say thank you for ur thanksgiving tribute. It was really sweet to see that u remember us all. Even though it's Friday now and I'm at work, HAPPY THANKSGIVING. People I have something to say:

Even though we all have our views on this holiday, as well as all other commercial holidays, it is really in our best interest to thank God for all that u have. I honestly didn't know what this meant until I lost my father on 25 days ago. He died of cancer after battling with it for so long. He was my best friend. After losing him, I realize that I had SOOOOOOOOOOOO much in my life that I was taking for granted. Just for the fact that I had parents who loved me, I should have been thanking God every second of the day. But, we are human, we have wants and we are selfish. So, I'm telling you all, just like I tell my friends everyday, appreciate everything in your life. One day, it'll all be gone, and u'll regret it if you don't appreciate it. So, just for this one day, if u haven't already, just talk to God and thank him. Also, remember this:
NO MATTER HOW BAD THINGS MAY SEEM, THERE IS ALWAYS SOMEONE OUT THERE WHO IS SOOOO MUCH WORSE THAN YOU!

Ok that was wayyyyy too mushy for you guys, but I just want you to become better people, not that u aren't already. Just be happy and thankful for what u have.

                  Thanx again Ck,

                  Love,
                  Violette
