Well you wanna be president of Armenia don't you my son? Do you think that would be a cool thing? I mean you will be some type of 'intellectual' and I can't really imagine a tattoo on a guy wearing a suit and tie...oh ahem I forgot politicians are criminals, so I guess it'll totally match you.

    Hehehe.

Why don't you get a tattoo that has the middle finger flicking everyone off on your chest, so when you are giving public speeches you can laff at those listening to you, even those that disagree, you don't have to raise your voice, you are simply holding that middle finger on your chest, at all times, bathroom breaks included.

The subject of tattoos. The subject is very touchy for me. There are some people who are closed minded towards tatoos, people who tolerate ink, and people who love it.

I personally have a half sleeve tattoo of a dragon on my right arm, with latin script. There are people who ask me "Why did you get that?" Sometimes I tell them "I bought it from the ice cream man, but it won't wash off."
Why did I really get it? Because the dragon symbolizes the inner world of the emotions and the unconscious, represents chaos, raw destructive power, the evil inherent in the world of matter. Sometimes it is shown as coming between ourselves and hidden treasure (spiritual wisdom) or carrying off a virgin (purity) to its underground lair. Now, if I go around telling people, especially family members that reason, they would look at me like I am weird. In the next 2 months, I will be getting more ink done. Work on my left arm extending to my back. The ink will symbolize what I have gone through the past 6 years, it will be awesome.

Omni, are you saying you want to remove your tattoos? How could you be mistaken for a 18 year old at 13? I've seen the pictures of yourself, you have a cross on your chest, but in those pics the script you have on your shoulder doesn't show. Which tattoo did you get at 13?

Jahannam, the point of getting a tattoo is not to be sorry at age 40 like you say. The people who regret their ink are the ones who walk into a shop and pick a chinese symbol which later turns out to mean xxxxx or something like that

Everybody is entitled to their opinions. I don't care if you think I am wrong for getting inked. I did it for myself, not you. I am one of the few Armenians I have seen who is heavily inked. Maybe I don't go to the right places, but the fellow Armenians I have seen with ink have either a cross or something small. I have yet to see an Armenian with full sleeve tattoos, or a backpiece. Omni, have you seen anybody like that?

This turned into probably my longest post, because it's a subject I care about.

I leave you with "Tattoos are something personal and permanent in our injection-molded throw-away culture."

Emil i feel as thow your comment was taking a stab at me. i did some research before i got the tat to make sure it wont say xxxxx in chinese and my tat means something very personal to me. My birthdate says a lot about who i am i've read up on so much before i decided to get those tattoos because they are permanent and i dont want to take them off. Every and Any tattoo i have or decide to get symbolizes and will symbolize who i am and what my life means to me.

No No, it wasn't meant as a stab to you. If it was I would have named you personally. You're the exact opposite, you researched and it means something personal to you. Which nobody can take that away from you.

                    You go girl.
