I dont want to go to school and educate myself. I just wanna sit home with my dog and go out and get drunk and smoke every night with my friends and get head and get laid every night. Im going to get report cards on wednesday and i have a 55 average in french despite the fact that i am trying hard.My parents are gonna take away a lot of privileges. and my average has dropped from a 92 to somewhere around 88 and its my junior year, very very important and im screwing up. I gotta get my xxxx together. Do any of you have trouble in school and how do you motivate yourselves? Ive lost my motivation to do well because i tell myself that whatever i learn now will be useless since i want ot move to Armenia as soon as im done with school.

Whatever you DO learn WILL be useless, but your degree won't be. Makes sense? So don't lose motivation, that's the worst you can do. Get a degree, and then no one can have anything against you.Comment

You're partially right, in that one is in continued competition with others to acquire more education in order to be more worthy of the job. However, you make it sound as though a college dropout has the same value as a college graduate. Fact of the matter is, education is a great investment...your profit is greater than your cost. As I've agreed before in response to one of your previous posts, most knowledge is acquired ON THE JOB, not in school. My philosophy is to do what I have to do in order to get my degree, which is my ticket into a job. The rest will take care of itself.

I dropped out of highschool junior year so cant help you much there. Graduated homestudies, harder but less drama. Going to college cuz a college degree is worth $10 an hour more than what i would be getting if i didnt have a degree.Comment
