    Re: HyeClub Today

Today, I took a look into the future as my spirit left my body and my brain shut down towards the end of the work day. In those final minutes before it was time to pack up and put an end to another Wednesday, this is the picture that I saw.

    Today was awesome.

During enrichment my volleyball team played the first match in a tournament and won. We were excited and happy then me and my friend got on the bus to go home.

We sit down in a spot and then some junior comes who we used to be cool with now we're only Hi/Bye. He tells us get off my seat. My friend goes "Ape im not getting off." and this guy goes "this is my seat!!!!" He ends up sitting behind us and we take his seat. Well not really his seat. He never comes on the bus and says that was his seat? I dont think so. If tomorrow he starts a fight with us ima make him hurt real bad.

Wednesday, April 22 - I visited Warner Bros. Studios for an early screening of The Hangover.

Friday, April 24 - I saw an early screening for Adoration, which was then followed by a Q&A with Atom Egoyan, Scott Speedman, Rachel Blanchard and Devon Bostick. I got Atom Egoyan's autograph, took a picture with him and shook his hand.

Sunday, April 26 - I met J. Michael Hagopian and viewed his documentary, The River Ran Red. I shook his hand, spoke with him about a career in filmmaking and took a picture with him.

Tuesday, April 28 - I was in an elevator with Jason Alexander. I attended a discussion panel which included John Hamburg, Charles Roven, Bruce Cohen, Dan Jinks, Andrew Cohen and Bernard O'Brien. I spoke with Jason Hamburg and shook his hand.

Man, I need to working in this industry.

Today, my girlfriend and I drove to UCLA for a panel discussion that was being held in the auditorium. The panel included John Hamburg (Meet The Parents, I Love You, Man), Charles Roven (Batman Begins, The Dark Knight), Dan Jinks and Bruce Cohen (American Beauty, Milk) and Andrew Cohen and Bernard O'Brien (Funny People).

The discussion included topics about how each of these filmmakers started out, how their career has evolved and how they balance their personal lives. It was particularly interesting to hear John Hamburg speak because he was the only director there, as well as Dan Jinks who is a phenomenal producer. The discussion lasted an hour or so and included some very helpful tips and career advice. Afterward, each of these filmmakers were harrassed by everybody in attendance. I briefly met and spoke with John Hamburg, who seemed like such a nice guy, as well as everybody else who was there.

    Fun times.

Seriously though, I know what you mean. I've had that pause before going down ladders plenty of times.

    Re: HyeClub Today

Today, I reached a new level of embarassment.

To make a long story short, I was at an elementary school for a job and we all had to go up to the roof. I didn't see a problem in climbing the ladder - it was one of those built-in ones - so I managed to get up with no problem. However, I have a fear of coming down ladders, particularly because I don't know how to approach it. Stepping backward on such a long ladder is an accident waiting to happen.

I kept looking down, wondering how I would actually attempt to take a step. Suddenly, everybody was getting ready to leave and it was time. I tried, once, and I seriously got terrified. I stepped back and told everybody to go ahead of me. I kept thinking to myself, "I am never going to be able to do this." When I was pretty much the last left, I asked the Supervisor if he'd guide me. All he did was stand behind me and give me his arm, the first step was no problem, and I was able to do the rest just as easily as I did going up.

As I came down, two men were giggling. They asked if I was scared of heights and I claimed to have vertigo. I have a fear of going down backward on ladders! Who doesn't?!

Today, I sat on a school bus. Suddenly, I had a flashback from The Sweet Hereafter, a film I only three days ago.
