It doesn't mean you have to lower yourself in quality.

While indeed, more posters mean more quantity, they do not always mean more quality.

When you have a large quantity of posters, it follows entropy that quality will decrease.

While you may have a large quantity of posters, quality will not always follow. It is rare that quality and quantity go together.

While we may have a higher quantity of forumers now, the quality is pointing towards less and less.

While quality demands posts that require thoughtfulness, creativity, quantity dwarfs this.

While we have quantity, we have an increased amount of pointless threads and chat room style foruming.

While we have more rules which encourage more quantity of posters, the "rules" ensure that quality goes down since as a general rule people of quantity always outnumber people of quality.
