Just call them stupid. What the xxxx's the big deal? If they don't like it, they shouldn't be stupid. I've been called worse.

Telling someone they are stupid may not be polite, or kind or socially acceptable, but what if it's the truth? Should we say intellectually challenged, and mention a learning disability or two? Stupidity is not the same thing as ignorance, nor has it anything to do with being poorly educated.

Despite all the politically correct euphemisms and legislations to the contrary, stupid people will exist and outnumber the non-stupid people.

Ostracise stupid people may reveal our stupidity

The Compensators are the majority of people. These people are still stupid but they kinda know that something's wrong... so they go in either of two ways, mass conformity, or rebels.

The mass comformity fools try to follow what others think is cool such as wearing the trucker hats because everyone else is wearing them, or fixing up your car, or listening to KIIS FM or watching American Idol.

The "rebel" freaks try to be different just to prove that they don't have to take "normal xxxx". Usually you'll find Goths, "artsy farsty" people here especially the ones at Pasadena Art Center and Otis Art College I encountered, and the "rockers" and "skaters" who think they are unique.

I agree, though it is not called stupidity in general, but nuanced like "naive" or "very kind" or sthg like that...
In France (he oui en France) for instance, you would never say someone is stupid if you like him at least a little. It is very cruel, and people would think you are the stupid one if you don't see the evident qualities of someone.
