Even Etchmiadzin, which I thought would be a very moving experience didn't have as big an impact as, for example, Geghart.

When we moved from Armenia my family settled in Hollywood. But now I live in Shmollywood.

Actually, were the xxxxx and his mother the same person ? The main interest of the movie is the one that, since it is stated at the end that he saw the world exactly as he imaginated, what was true, what was false. The facts such as he killed his mother is true, why did he assimilate his mother to the xxxxx ?

It is not comparable to 6thsense. 6th sense is one of these movies good "just for the first time". Cronnenberg, even if i didn't appreciate Spider as you, is still far away from this kind of "PG13 family approved - good time inside" stuff.

I have not seen the movie in about a year but I am doing my best.

He was not physically there when he was reliving his memories. But his memories were not the real past. His memories were tainted by hallucinations. The hallucinations were driven by his constant defensive outlook on life. If you remember, he set up spider webs around his room like protection. That shows that he always felt like he was being attacked by something or someone. The first time you saw that xxxxx in the bar, it was all real. From that point on, she was incorporated in his defensive/fearful hallucinations. This movie is a very clever story that takes a very interesting point of view with respect to the psychology of a particular schizophrenic.

This whole discussion has ruined the movie for those who have not seen it, but oh well.
