i was just watching "drumline", the movie with the FANFAR and universities compete with each other. Anyway my point, all the students lived in dorms next to the university and parties every night bla bla bla. Well since i live in Montreal, we don't have that "ambiance" of having a campus with grass where people lie on the grass and study. My university is just on a main street and i go back home after...

ok my question is are all universities like that in the states? do you all live in dorms? or you go back home? it might sound stupid but i just want to know.

Most have campuses. The only ones I know of that don't are all in New York. Every four-year in the country, with the possible exception of Eugene Lang College, I believe has the option of dormitory housing. Two-year schools do not. It is not mandatory that one live on campus, or in school housing. Many people commute.

Not everyone who goes to college lives in a dorm or by school but a lot do. I wish I had the opportunity to do so but I haven't yet.

I lived on campus my freshman year, but began commuting beginning my sophomore year. Believe me, that was tough. I tasted freedom, only to have it taken away from me, haha.

umm...well I do stay at the "village apartments" by my university....it's a level higer than dorms, because dorms are filled with freshman.....but its not that easy to get along with roommates.... so trust me its not the best thing someone would ever do.......

              You're now officially a villager!
