bible is a historical book that is backed by archeology, and a prophetic book that has lived up to all of its claims thus far. The Bible is God’s letter to humanity collected into 66 books written by 40 divinely inspired writers. thoes writers come from all walks of life and spans over a period of 1,500 years or more. These claims may seem dramatic (or unrealistic to some), but a careful and honest study of the biblical scriptures will show them to be true.
Well, even I believe in God, and am a non-practicing Christian, but the Bible contains too many contradictions and has overgone many tamperings and changes over time, and many other books within it don't exist, so we really can't make anything out.

      Maybe this might help?

My question is about Lot's daughters.

In the bible, all "bad" deeds/doers are punished, in order to seperate and label right from wrong. The daughters weren't punished.

i am going to quote myself' bible is a historical book that is backed by archeology, and a prophetic book that has lived up to all of its claims thus far.."

and the changes u are talking about has been done by churches, jehovass witnesses and etc... I do belive that with time ppl interpreted minor things and sayings and they still do...but old testmant is pure historical facts backed by archeology,, and it has nothing to do with religiose ppl,nor stupid church...and new testmant has been written by Matthew,mark,luke,john....and i dont believe that its been changed..just minor things like GODs name and the part of holy trinity and some words but they has been underlined as unreadable and marked like this* ..have you ever take considaration that little **** things and explanation in the end of the book ?
I'm a monstrous mass of vile, foul & corrupted matter.

hey has anyone notices how nice thin and zig-zagy the empty pages in the back of the bible are?

I wonder what they put them there for?

I read it all by age 16 and haven't picked it up since. It's an interesting read (aside from the geneaology), but it's a little difficult to take it seriously if you are even the least bit of a critical person. All I take from the Lot story is that early Isrealites wanted to scare each other into submission and came up with this. A stirring celebration of the wrath of a merciless, veangeful God. Keep in line, or have it coming.

                Exactly!

I try to keep an open mind, and remind myself that it's all metaphorically written.

Keep in mind that it's all written as propaganda designed to entice or scare people into joining a movement, and that not only is it metaphor, but it is hyperbole as well.

Wow, that was a genius point. You get a worm ridden carrot for that.
