We put this information out there anyway. Amazon knows what I like to buy, Nordstrom suggests things based on what I've bought, etc. All retailers do this. As far as information shared, I don't put the details of my personal life online. I'm aware of the fact that anything I post there (or anywhere on the internet) is public. I use the service to keep in the loop with a few organizations and to keep up with news. I don't post the personal things that many do, such as: where I am, what I'm doing, what I'm eating, where I buy my groceries, when I see my therapist, etc.

    Excellent, Ty!

But it is the way that data can be manipulated and combined in ways you may not be aware of when using their products.

It is a good thing that Google Earth seems to be anonymous - otherwise I would be flooded with google ads for blister creme and for plasters for my many thorn-bush scratches (with the help of Google Earth I've just walked to Surp Lusavorich Vank near the top of Mt. Sepuh overlooking Erzincan).

            Re: Google+

I know someone that freeze framed her sight on Facebook so there is no streaming messages, etc.
HOW is that done? Is it better to just "delete" it and do not have an account?
Someone I also know told me his daughter registered him on Facebook and he instantly deleted it.

I hear Facebook logs all photos and stuff for their "ownership" I do not like this and it seems errrrrrrieeeeee.

            Any thoughts anyone?

              Re: Google+

Hmm... I don't know because I don't really use FB the way most people do...

I was aware of one thing about photos though -- I don't like how easy it is for people who are "friends" and do have access to your photos to paste a url for someone who's not (forget save-as!) on FB. You can delete your account, but they call it "deactivating" because it sort of hides your profile, but your content is still there if you decide to reactivate it in the future.

Google is better than Firefox. Even the latest version works little better, Chrome works lighter.
