I'm mixed ethnicity, which means that if memory serves, I am completely non-Armenian with only an identity crisis to motivate me to care about the Armenian side according to you.

I don't remember your story, so I don't want to judge. Though getting into an Armenian Church is a good step!

Yes, there are similarities in externals, but also many differences I have to say. I think one of the most healthy things in comparison with Catholicism is the allowance/encouragement of priests to marry and have children.

It is similar in the externals, but the theology is waaayyyy better. Eastern theology seems natural and healthy. Like I said, all the best of Catholicism, but with better theology and with common sense.

How many answers do you want of things that attracted me to the Armenian church? I think in the end, it goes back to the flaws of Catholicism and my exposure to Catholicism and former attraction to it as a young child. Armenian Apostolic is one of the few churches I could happily live with, one of the few that combines all the best of Catholicism, with better theology, and a lot of common sense. I'll find you a dozen more attractions if you want (admittedly some better than others).
