Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

What do you people think of "Feminism" movement?
I personally think they are one angry bunch with closet tendency trying to destroy conventional family structure.

"Feminism in Armenian: Producing a Past, Creating a Present"

YEREVAN, Armenia—On March 28, the College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CHSS) of the American University of Armenia (AUA) hosted Dr. Lerna Ekmekcioglu, who addressed current issues regarding the concept of Armenian feminism in the Ottoman and post-Ottoman world. In discussing the relationship between absences in history and invisibilities in the present, the seminar revolved …

I have a gay cousin who I have known to be gay since I was a kid, along with the rest of our family. Hiding in the closet, has to be one of the most frustrating things your family goes through. It's 2015, everyone knows someone who is gay, so quit acting like you've got ebola and come out. How can you consider yourself mature when you've been living a lie since you started this thread years ago? I've got quite a few hayastanci friends who are so obviously gay but are unfortunately terrified to come out, so instead they act straight fooling only them self.

You may think you have matured but something tells me you haven't.

No coming out story here but if you are gay I bet your folks already know it even if they do not admit it. There are plenty of Armenian gays out there and I would be surprised if you had a hard time finding them or talking to them if you tried. Had a gay Armenian girl in my class when I was in 12th grade and all she wanted to do was fight me (im a big guy) but no one knew she was gay then.

    Armenian LGBT

Hi everyone. Three years ago I joined this forum just to post a thread about Armenians who identify as gay or lesbian. It caused a stir. Some of the older users might remember? here is the link http://forum.hyeclub.com/showthread....-lesbians-gays
There were only a few supportive people, many thanks.

I was reminded of the post, so I decided to post again to see if opinions on being Armenian and LGBT have changed among the young Armenian online community.

Back then I was willing to argue with people because I was looking for support from fellow Hyastancis. Having time to mature, I no longer need this. However I am still in the same situation. I am still with my girlfriend and still not 'out' to my family. I can talk to my non-Armenian friends all I like, but the fact is that they don't have the full understanding of Armenian culture. And I cant bring myself to tell my Armenian friends. So the only way I can talk to other Armenians about this is through the internet. If anyone knows of (or is) an Armenian that 'came out' to their parents, please share the story.

    Thanks

Why do you feel the need to Cali-FORNICATE a pleasant gesture of Armenian men towards their women, even if the men are policemen?
One quote is better then the other!

Sad thing is that you would not know even if the truth hit you between your eyes.
I already gave you one patch, don't test my kindness in asking for another one! Swallow it!

    A. Should they hand them the flower?

    or

    B. Give them a Dil-do so they can keep pretending they don't need it?

Nothing like using a man made object to pretend it's not a man, just the facsimile will do.
