I know i started a thread on Armenian news sources in the Armenian section about where we can get reliable news on Armenian issues and now i would like to start a new thread on where we can get reliable news in general. With all the major media sources of news being utter garbage-it is challenging to find truthful sources of information about the world around us. While you should never trust any source without researching its claims i have found democracynow.org to be a pretty good source most of the time. I hope that more of you will share some of the good reliable sources of news with the rest of us so that we can improve the quality of information we are exposed to.

Don't they all essential rewrite what AP, BBC, etc. report with their own spin/interpretation? Just read everything critically.

When the BBC says (and it says it quite often) in a report "The BBC has learned" it means they got the information from another rival news source, and "The BBC understands" means some politician has told the BBC something and expects an on-message news report about it.

Yeh but that only goes so far because those sources do not report nor mention many important things that happen but prefer to dwell on who is crawling into Lindsay Lohan's arse.

Here is a good example of how news should be covered.

This forum was more diverse then that. It is a shame that we do not have more participants in these other threads.

                Right!

For example I'am an Aviation lover, do I have to go to the Armenian Politics Thread for that. Of Course No!
