    Re: Outdoor Sports (hunting, fishing...)

The coolest innovation has been the use of new composit materials which are strong yet much lighter then traditional gear plus a lot of the clothing made for the outdoors has wicking and breathable technology incoorporated into it thus keeping you drier, warmer with less bulky clothing. It is not cheap though.

No, not cheap, but you don't always want the synthetic wicking stuff... Wool/down is still best sometimes.

I'm loving these chairs, btw: Alite Monarch Have you tried them?

Nah i dont use chairs much outside. I sit on my bucket while icefishing or i lay down in the woods behind some brush while hunting. I am a big guy so i am careful about what i sit on.

My tired legs need the break on longer treks. I can see where these wouldn't be ideal for fishing though, especially on ice.
I don't know what max weight is but they don't feel flimsy and they should be fine up to at least 200lb. It was great on my last camping trip... Sometimes you end somewhere truly awesome and just want to stay a while.

I bet you had a good view from there. I have lost a lot of weight since my back has allowed me to start working out again but i would still turn that seat into scrap metal instantly. I plan on doing a lot of fishing this winter so i will post some pretty piks when i get them. Hopefully i will make it up to the upper peninsula of michigan this year, many wonderful scenes there.

Went to chek the ice today on a local lake today but ended up going for a swim instead. I walked around the lake but as i started walking out deeper the ice buckled under me and in i went. Cut my hand on the sharp ice climbing out but made it. Guess ill have to wait a few more days..

Yay the ice is back. Had a great time out there today catching lots of fish with a couple armenian friends. I really like being able to put people on the fish and seeing how happy they are when catching.
