I had a 650 triumph motorcycle when I was 16 years old. A car did not see me and made a left turn in front of me. I ended up in the hospital. I had quit high school and was working. After getting out of hospital, family moved my busted up self back to my mothers house to recuperate. While there I was put back in school via telephone while I lay in a hospital bed in mothers front room. After I was able to walk but still had cast on arm and skull fracture busted ear drum were still in the process of healing, I went to a school for physically handicapped.
A public school for the extreme . I was only temporarily in handicaps situation.
The small class size plus teacher consideration saw me go from basic "d" grades to straight "a's". During this time I realized how simple this was and also realized I could do a years worth of school in 1/2 months easily.
Whatever advantages the public schools may have, the class size is detrimental to actual learning.
    A distinct detriment.
Yep, but despite knowing the effects of class size, institutions have had to increase class sizes over time. Enrollment has increased tremendously (especially in college) and funding from state/federal sources has not increased proportionally.

Yes, how sad and unfortunate for the coming generation, the country, and the world at large.

Is it just a coinsidence that as the school funding lags behind the legitimate need, and the mining industry oversight lags way behind on needed funding, and the food and drug oversight is grossly underfunded, and on & on ...
That the explosion in billionairs and wanna be ultra rich have all needed funding?
My opinion is .., one would need a proctologist to find where the USA priorities are really located.
