    Obsession.

It’s what drives us all, whether we like to admit it or not. Our lives are spent adhering to an obsession of some sort. Some people strive towards power, affiliation or achievement. Yet for some, obsession is more focused and it this extra focus that allows obsession to become dangerous.

First question... What is your obsession? Even if you're not obsessed to a point of desperation, there must be something....?

Secondly, what happens when things go even further? What happens when we let something which most people would consider superficial take up such a large part of our lives that it physically hurts to imagine life without it? What happens when we let ourselves be completely and utterly consumed by obsession, casting aside our own lives in order to live one that is not really ours??
The test of a first-rate intelligence is the ability to hold two opposing ideas in mind at the same time and still retain the ability to function. -- F. Scott Fitzgerald

I thought this was about the porn star.

    I don't think I have an obsession.

I do have a couple of obsessions. I would like to mention one which is music. I lock myself in my room for hours listening to it. There comes days when I don't leave the room. I thought that I'd get over it but I didn't. It been 6 yrs. Should I be concerned?

But I like my obsessions, that's the beauty of it right? and I don't want to get over them.
      "An angel runs
      Thru the sudden light
      Thru the room
      A ghost preceeds us
      A shadow follows us
      And each time we stop
      We fall"

I wonder what you did aside from listening to the music?

This word reminds me of Paul Oakenfold's "Obsession" trance piece.

Actually "Obsession" reminds me of that cheap imitation cologne at Rite-Aid.

It smells no different than Jovan Musk and the other lame stuff they have there.
