backing up my "motivation" post. Here's another question. So all these religious institutions or belief systems tell how you're supposed to "purify your soul" or something of the sort, you know, like learn to be good or whatever (for christianity I think it's be like jesus or something, not sure on this) here's the question: do people have a choice for being good or bad? Is it genetically related? is it biological? is it out of the primitive motivation to survive?

i don't think it's a matter of choice 100% of the time, although i believe that choice occupies a huge chunk of it. but some things are not a matter of choice. some people can't help it - they need to do evil / bad things, or what we consider evil or bad anyway. I don't know..

This is the same as the nature vs nurtutre question. We can talk about this forever. And then some brainiac will start questioning the defenition of "good" and "bad". Then someone will post something totaly unrelated and start a different discussion. So lets just drop it right now. Mmmmm k
