How do you guys think we get these fears/phobias? What, encounter with something horrible that scarred us for life? How do we get rid of these fears? And don't say confront it. That doesn't work, it just scares the heck out of us, well, me anyways.
I developed my phobia upon learning of the ways in which governments deceive and use their own citizens and of how they restrict individual liberties and disrespect basic property rights, denying the very principles on which they are founded. I am particularly fearful of the big brother and welfare states.
Well, if the government knew it was exposing its troops to Agent Orange in Vietnam, or for that matter depleted uranium during the Gulf War, and it allowed it to go through, what does it tell you about the minds of the people that rule over us? We are expendable, just human cattle, a means to an end.
