Do not begin with this nonsense again.

If I see this movie for any reason it would be to shake the jews in their yamakas.

You should all see Heavenly Creatures and The Last Temptation of Christ.

My friend just saw it and is acting like she just had a religions experience. I felt like smacking her out of it. This is why the Jews are so scared. Because most people don't know didly crap about Chtistianity and have never read the Bible or Old Testamanet and will walk out of the movie theater with who knows what kind of impressions. And can everyone please stop acting like this is the first freakin movie about Jesus.....

          Oh I almost forgot:

See Pasolini's 1964 film The Gospel According to Matthew.

The reason why it's moving so many people is because of how much brutality was actually involved in the crucifying of Christ. The other movies have actually done well, but we don't know how well because they've never been in theaters, and have not had such a huge amount of time and money contributed.

Arvest, please don't ruin this thread with your Anti-religionism...<!~I thought of that word all by myself!

How about you not turn this into an anti-"anti-religionism" thread and we will all be dandy.

How about you not turn it into an Anti-Violette/Anti-World thread and I know I will be happy.

This is not true. As a matter of fact, the movies that Mr. Arvestaked mentioned, with the exception of "Heavenly Creatures" were famous for their portrayal of Jesus Christ. "Last Temptation of Christ" was based on a book that was controversial in itself. "The Gospel According to St. Matthew" was expected to be controversial because Pasolini was very controversial. However, I think he received an award from the Vatican for the most realistic portrayal up until that time. "Heavenly Creatures" is not about Jesus; the religious overtones in the movie are due to the fact that the protagonists are atheists and the antagonists are Christians.

IMO Armenians might say that, but then turn around and say "religion is fake, what a crock, just forget about it". I feel Christianity is (well, used to be for some) an important part of Armenian culture and history. It just seems some Armenian people are trying so hard to hate it. Even if you're not religious, that's fine. At least have some respect towards the religion that has been a significant part in Armenian culture and history instead of trying so hard to be against it and bash it for some reason.

I feel this way not because of any posts i've read at the forum, but because of different real life converstaions i've had with people.

If you want to know Jesus' life there is no better source than the Bible.

This movie was totally pointless and just another reason for Jews to start crying "Anti Semitism".
