What's the point of life?

On a more serious note, people forget their spiritual needs in whatever endeavors they ascend and descend to. The idea is to approach young ones from a spiritual perspective, early on. Feeding them and exposing them to the material world concepts leaves them perplexed and robbed. Isn't that the whole point of life? You work, you make money, you want to carve your name, and your achievements onto the ant-hills of time, but why and for what? To live past your life, to extend your name, and transcend your limited sense of self. Hence why I'm of the persuasion we are spiritual beings, seeking to acquiesce in spiritual accomplishments, to increase the paucity of our spiritually conscious moments.

The point is, even if you believe in an afterlife, there is little (or no) point in leaving your name behind you after you're gone. I understand that it works when you're alive, but after you're gone, there is no point to it from a practical point of view. For example, Bush cares little about spirituality (even though he still insists that marriage should keep its traditional meaning ) - all he cares about is wealth and fame while he's alive. There is no point in having fame while one is dead. Who gives a f*ck who's talking about me, as long as I'm dead... That is definitely a delusional and self-brainwashing explanation about the meaning of life.

Ahh spoken like a true expert. How do you know what is there and what isn't? How do you claim to know the thoughts of souls hereafter? How do you know what Bush craves?

It is obvious what Bush craves. Anyone who thinks twice about it would deserve the title of KING OF THE DUMB.

I never said there is no afterlife. But you are building a theory based on something that is not proven. So how do you know that people want to transcend the materialism and enter the realm of spirituality? You're in the same situation as mine. There is no proof. But most people are materialistic. You cannot explain people's behaviour here in terms of an imaginary spiritual world that might or might not exist.

So he wants to be remembered for how bad he was? Please.... he wants money and perhaps fame, but fame while he's alive. You are theorizing something about the afterlife that no one is sure about its existence. Fact is, there are many people who don't believe in any of these things.

Nothing is proven. All we have are infinite approximations. You do not know my situation, never claim to, nor compare me to you. Reality is based on perception. People might not believe these things, but they will believe in other things, may be not believe humanity as a spiritual existence, but as a material. It remains a belief nonetheless.
