I can't remember the last time a saw anything but a happy ending in an American film...so unnatural.

Hollywood is like that but do not say that about American film in general. David Lynch's movies "Lost Highway" and "Mulholland Dr." are not happy. I only threw those out there because I like Lynch so much but there are many. You just need to leave Hollywood.

Speaking of good movies. Two movies I loved were- Gold Rush- the scene where Charlie Chaplin is eating his shoe is just tooo damn good!

Flames do you remember "The Professional" by Belmondo? The movie with Alain Delon you've described sort of reminds me of the plot in Belmondo's film. The theme song was unbelievably melodic, and the end was similarly tragic which gave it more of an essence.

Eve, I'm not good with the titles. They're all in Russian (voiceover), so it's more difficult to remember. I wouldn't be surprised if I have seen it though.
