    what do u mean, lose? every team plays half their games on home ice & half away... i dont understand what ure saying...

    I believe the figure is much higher for Game 7's in baseball, though, and for NFL playoff games. The playing fields in these sports aren't uniform the way they are in hockey or basketball.

      The team that has home ice advantage in the playoffs is the team that had the better regular season record. I'm saying that that should mean they are the better team. Since the better team will have home ice in game 7, they would seem more likely to win regardless of where the game is played.

        ohhh yea. u failed to mention the word "playoffs"

        but i guess the 60% stat holds true in regular season as well..
