    Dear Diary,

Damn people who think others are immigrants and forget that their forefathers were the ones who settled in the country first.
And damn those people who think that their Armenian forefathers were also part of those who settled in this country first. A child of one immigrant is still a child of an immigrant.

    • Hey Baron, I am the child of someone who served his country and whose ancestors basically established the country I am living in. And I am not technically (on paper) an immigrant here, even. And I wouldn't consider myself one at any rate. Of course, only Israelis have the birthright campaign, don't they?

But isn't your mother an Armenian living in Toronto? Some immigration occured somewhere.
And Brits are immigrants, no matter what they say on paper.

Anyways, I consider myself a FULL immigrant, and I'm pretty proud to be one too. There's something quite fulfilling about being born in another country, and mastering both official local languages better than most locals.

Even if my children are born in Montreal (which won't happen), I'd still consider THEM immigrants.

        • No. My mom is not a perm. resident.

And we're not talking about what is what on paper. We're talking about the concept. I don't consider myself an immigrant.

You're missing out on a lot of immigrant fun though!

                • I'm trying to delay my citizenship, especially with the possible draft looming above.

I can't help but agree with that. May not be an immigrant on paper, but always an immigrant in your mind. Well, in my mind. lol. :-)
