That's my point, people take one definition over the other, simply because they were taught not to question and accept things as they are, either "bad" or "good", the reasoning behind it doesn't matter. I think that it's wrong, because once the rug is pulled from beneath their feet, they are confused and conflicted.

The point about the painting is valid, however same can be said of the religious underwear. By wearing it, one can say that Jesus is close and with him all day.

I don't want to see it from your religious perspective. I want to see it from your "own" rational perspective, your reasoning aside from what the Bible teaches or the religious authorities pioneer. And you are wrong about Justin, I would feel insulted by subjugating my precious private are to the image of that knucklehead. And we agree on Just and Jesus being two different images, that's why I would pick Jesus over Justin. At least Jesus didn't sing such silly songs.

I was confused and conflicted when I started learning about different religions and of course like any rational person I questioned my own religion, but I found my way back and thats all that matters to me now. I respect every religion just as much as I respect my own.

If wearing underwear with an image of Jesus makes someone feel that Jesus is close to them then by all means wear it..its just that I, personally, wouldnt.

My religious perspective is my OWN perspective...that is who I am, that is how I was raised, that is what I believe.
