All you guys are immature dorks, who didn’t understand the point of my post. In fact I doubt you read the article or my post. I was not advocating feminism, but rather a liberal approach towards imagery that is being displayed on the screen. India being a very conservative country is attempting to step out of its restricted borders and explore sexuality for the first time. This shift results in two things: 1. much opposition from the traditional society 2. increased assault by men. In other words, I am condoning eroticism, however being that repressed feelings are let loose people don’t exactly know how to handle them, and make it worse by creating a scandal, thus dipping sexuality further in the gutter. So I asked how a society makes a smooth transition without meeting such fierce and unbalanced reception.

The only thing in my post that had anything to do with feminism was the Human Rights organization which is specializing in religious underwear instead of protecting human rights (women in this case). Anon on many occasions you’ve raised a point that feminism is an empty political movement, instead Human Rights should be enforced for all. Interestingly enough I brought up Human Rights and you instantly connected it with feminism, without a trace of that word mentioned in my post. Strange isn't it?

Why is there this assumption among all "liberals" that society somehow is "repressed" when they choose to safeguard traditional measures and mores, and the only thing one must do is "express" that "repression", ergo, let's have a sexual revolution. Why I said this is because you cannot contain the seeds of such a thing. There is no "smooth" way out of it. It will spawn a whole new generation of sexual promiscuity and further add to that already exploding population they have.

Didn't the Kama Sutra originate in India? Oh, the irony!

That's my point. People are always more sexual and view sex as something degrading when society represses visual and verbal openness towards the subject. Once it is out in the open there is a confusion of how to handle such change. Something to the effect of a yokel going to a cosmopolitan city. First reaction is shock and then it's more of a resistance or outlandish behavior.

Or better yet Iraqis, after the fall of the strict regime enjoying liberation and their newly gained freedom by looting. There are repressed desires or feelings but there is not remedy of how to deal with change.

None of your complaining about what's on tv will make us stop liking good looking women. When you rule the world and put nothing but Murder She Wrote on every station, we'll still like pretty women.

I think you misunderstood what I said. There is no link between what I said and what YOU said. At least, I don't see it.
