aww cmon, dont be like that.... i never said anything negative about hayastantsis... at least i didnt mean to say it in a negative way.. im sorry if i offended anybody. i was just being defensive in that last post because ive been mocked by arevelahyeren speakers & i believe i speak armenian quite well.

im actually searching for any post i have made in which i might have said anything, good or bad, about stanzees & heres what ive found:

does this thread HAVE to be strictly for annoying words? what about expressions that make u laugh? one time, a drunk hayastantsi came up to my band after a barahantess &, swaying back & forth, said something like "es ashxar@ frrrrrrouma" i could hardly contain myself!!! FRRRRRRROUMAAAAA!!!!!!! i love u stanzees, but some of the things u say are just hilarious! especially at 3am after countless scotches

i really dont think thats something anybody should take offence to. im actually quite fascinated by the differences in the way we speak. i just dont like to be told that i speak my own language the "wrong" way, thats all..

Armenian is separated into Krapar (grabar) and Ashkharapar (Askharabar).

Krapar is the language of Mashtots, of the Bible, yevayln.
ex: yerpor patsvin trnern houso yev mer yergren pakh da tsmer
chknagh yergir mer Armenio, yerp paylen yur kaghtsrig orer

Ashkharapar is separated into Arevmdahayeren and Arevelahayeren, which are the two "official" parpars if you will (there are, of course, other regional dialects). The first one has been established in Bolis, and the second, in Tiflis. Both are CLEAN Armenian, if used correctly.

Here's an example of both not being used correctly (not talking about the use of slang, but about the foreign grammatical influences).

Arevmdahayeren: Poghotse desadz shoons hivant e. <---- Turkish influence
Arevelahayeren: seghane im motn e <---- Russian influence

I love Armenian sentences which are anything but Armenian, although it's very amusing how one can Armenianize pretty much any language, notice the ending that transforms an entire language.

I'm Persian-Armenian also, and I've never heard/said "xo." First time I've seen that word.

Xo is short for Xob ....Like..Xo Herrr? (But Why?) lol sounds funny!
