    Ikh....Samalyot? Whyyy I ask? Whyyy?

Hayastantsis, in general, incorporate foreign words in their "official" vocabulary more than Arevdahays, to my knowledge. Must be the Russian influence. For example, on the Armenian drams, it's written "Hayasdani getronagan bank". Why not tramadoon? (or dramatoon)

Ya ok, but I didn't know what the word Bagh ment. I was a freakin kid dude! Even if I knew what Bagh ment, I didn't think of putting 2 and 2 together. Plus, like I said before, My parents speak Russian, most my cousins and Aunts and Uncles speak Russian or live in Russia. We have a lot of Russian influence, sometimes I'll speak a word in Russian not knowing that it is Russian, thinking I'm speaking Armenian.

I fully understand that. My post is not about you, but more the situation you found yourself in. Since you were a child, the adults around shouldn't have put you in that position, is my point.

Got it! Bayts, we just came from Armenia, I don't think my parents understood that they had to start teaching me Armenian words and my neighbor, knowing I'm Armenian, probably thought I knew what she ment. But I do Agree they should have at least tought me how to say ice cream!

Although I STILL say Marozhni, Baron!
