Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

Not that I read every single thread in here, which some were worthless. I came to a conclusion. Rap takes no talent. yet people still listen to it. I myself appreciate the actual 'Hip Hop' which ranged from mid 80's to late 90's. Other than that. The new rap sux and from that point I do agree w/ Anonymoog. So basically Every point Mr. Anonymoog made, was that Rap requires no talent. So for the Anti-Anonymoog's that are sippin on the haterade.... Use the talent of reading and notice, that's all he was trying to say. Rap does not require talent. End of message.

I believe the reason for young Armenians turning into rap artist is because our culture doesn’t have that many modern cultural music styles that can relate to young adolescence that are growing up in this society. Raping does take some form of talent since a rapper either needs to have a good memory or some kind of musical ear. Good memory is needed to remember the lines that have been used before, so the repetition doesn’t happen and also to come up with rhymes that can grab the attention of the audience. Musical ear is required because I don’t care how well u can create rhymes if you cant fallow a bit then you cant rap. Therefore I believe some form of talent is required to become a rap artist. As for Armenian turning into black, well that’s totally different subject. We have Armenians that are into rock; we have Armenians that look like Mexican tugs, or rapiz, etc.. It all depends on 3 concepts, society, family and friends. It would be best that we stop with this nonsense criticism of our own people, as individuals we all have the right to choose what we like and who we want to be. Just because you are born Armenian doesn’t mean u have to stay as one.

About the music part... Almost anyone can figure out the tempo of a good rap when the beat is provided and in most cases with the rap in the last 3 years.... the rappers dont have to worry about a beat cuz its provided for them. 2) A rapper does not need to memorize anything. They need to come up with their own material, but it seems now a days they find some chorus line to go by while they have some whack ass verses where they're quoting other rappers half the time anyways.and 3) you just proved a major fact about armenians... When criticizing others, you automatically think " oh.. hes a rocker, so then hes a punk." "oh.. he wears baggy clothes, so then he wants to be mexican." " oh... he wears a visor, he wants to be black." I think its just you people worry too much about other people and what they got and what they do. Not up front, but if you think about it, why the hell are you so worried how they dress, cuz they're armenian ? Then do you feel the same way about a white guy ? or an Asian, or whatever . The reason I say you people is cuz most, not all, but most, are stuck in the hater mode which causes you to analyze someone just because they want to be unique or should i say different. So because you can't seem to come up with your own style of being yourself, you seem to have to criticize others because you cant seem create your own style for yourself that works for you.

Your speech is riddled with mistakes and you advocate not being Armenian? Hey Armenian isn't just culture its an ethnicity. You have no choice you are born into it. TO deny yourself is to deny your existence. To pretend to be black or thug is but a lie and a nice and thorough illusion.

I dont want to get into the whole culture ethnicity debate here simply because youre the type that would support the destruction of our commonfolk and probably don't even remember April 24th. Yep them Turks were right you know, they didn't have to finish Armenians, we do it to ourselves.

Wise words coming from a person of your calibre on the moral high ground. Oh I can feel the wisdom in this thread.

I hope you get mauled by tigers.
