BERLIN (Reuters) - A German woman has confessed to killing her newborn baby boy and hiding the body in her freezer for over 12 months, say police in the Western city of Cologne.
Landlords inspecting the building found the body in the freezer on Saturday which led to the arrest of 23-year-old tenant on suspicion of murder.
"She admitted to killing the boy directly after birth on May 26, 2003. She subsequently wrapped the body in a rubbish bag and laid it in the freezer," police said on Tuesday.
State prosecutors are now handling the case.
