Armo Goth - Anyone else been noticing it?

I've been visiting Glendale since I was still in my mama's tummy... but in the last few months I've been noticing a rise in a new Armenian Subculture that I like to reffer to as Armo Goth. Now, this is a very loose term since they're really not Goth and I know a lot more about "Goth" and it's uter BS than anyone else on this (I'm can assuming)... I guess a more appropriate term is Armo "grunge." These guys (and so farit's only been GUYS) don't really look armenian at first glance, cause they appear so counter-intuitive to what we're accused to. They have really dark eye liner, sometimes wear weird contact lenses, dress in all black, have black nails and are heavily pierced. However, all the ones I've noticed have either Armenian tattoos, red/blue/gold keychains or beanies, or the word "ARMENIAN POWER" or "ARMENIAN PRIDE" stiched onto their jackets.

Personally I'm delighted to see a departure from the usual bling-bling and Benz crowd of Glendale, and I'm curious to know more about this rising subculture in Armenian youth.. any other people here seen them around in Glendale (or anywhere else for that matter)? Also, anyone else notice an increase of stickers of teh Armenian flag plastered on signs and posts all over Glendale in the last couple of months? I wonder if it's related...

They're idiots. No different than all these Armenians who are now self-styled musicians and have bands "OMG I HAVE A BAND AND WE PRACTICE AT OUR GARAGE AND WE PLAY AT THE WHISKEY!" since System of a Down made it okay for Armenians to have bands.

As for the original question. I've seen a lot of goths but not to many of them being armo. And why the hell would someone dress in all black in the summer. Doesn't it get hot?

haha mouse i agree.. my stupid neighbor used to think he was a rockstar... him and his lil twitty friends would "try" to play some music, but all the achieved was giving me a huge headache... leave the rock for the rockers--i think we armenians try too hard at fitting in and being somethign we're not, thats why we adapt to other people's was waay too soon--

i mean i loev rock music too, i listen to it and enjoy it, but i dont dress up like a punk rocker and roam around LA and go dye y hair fuschia pink.... but anyway i dont want to be too critical, thats just my opinion- i know im armenian and i cant help the fact that i liek in the US and whether i liek it or not ive adapted dmany ways of american ilfe, but theres a limit to what you adapt to and what you see as a part of your identity and keep...
