    Bear in mind that whatever it was, it was not a meteor or anything, since no meteorite pieces have ever been found, nor a crater, and the life there has altered genetically since the trees and plants have an accelerated growth rate, and during this event very bright nights were experienced world wide. In some places you could read a newspaper at night. Of course, why this story captivated me is I remember reading a book about it and other mysteries on earth, such as that of Easter Island.

      I don't know anything about it. As a matter of fact, I hadn't heard of it until this thread. Maybe it was geological. Maybe there wasn't one.

        First off...what the hell is an Easter Island?

        Second...yea I think your right, there was no crater, but the trees on the gorund were spread out in a circluar pattern and they said that the meteor actually blew up in the atmosphere due to air pressure. Thats why there was no crater.

        Well I hope they develop that technology though...might make traveling a whole lot better.
