Attempts to identify the origin of Alevism are inherently controversial. As I said in my previous messages to explain Alevis is difficult. A Turkish Alevi (Bektashi) is different than a Zaza Alevi (Kizilbash). Kizilbash were the ones who fought for Safavid Iran against Ottomans. Kizilbash can be also Kurds, Afghans and even some Azaris. Nowadays Turks try to manipulate Alevi faith and make them Sunni Muslims. Some traditions we had are lost and others are disappearing. In short Alevis are becoming slowly Muslims just like Turks and Kurds.

In short Alevis are becoming slowly Muslims just like Turks and Kurds.

Some have even already lost their own identity...

I looked in a latin dictionary. Vigile =is a stick.The censors whipped the pupils. (My grand'mother's teacher had asked her to bring a stick to hit the hand of the naughty pupils. my grand-mother brought a stick, and the teacher tried it on her. She rememberd very well 70 years later and said I never again brought a stick to her)
