Honestly, I had no idea there was so much in-fighting with Armenians until I started entering the AC chat room. I had never heard of the term "Rabiz", I had never heard Armenians separate the different "types" (barskahye, stanci, etc), and I never knew there was such annimosity towards one another. As I've mentioned several times, where I live, NO one has heard of us. So on the extremely rare occassions I come across an Armenian (at work or such), it's pretty exciting. We'll talk a while about history, family, etc. And then I'll throw in the ever shocking statement that I can actually speak the language. It's a joyous occassion due to its scarcity. Perhaps the old saying of "too much of a good thing" holds true in the larger Armenian communities?
