Can't particularly remember either of those scores.Originally posted by Genuine_StudI can't believe none of you mentioned "Schindler's List" and "Good Will Hunting".
The film score of those two movies were absolutely great and were even up for Academy Award nominations.
If you haven't heard it, please do.

I think the score for Schindler's List actually won the academy award. Still, that was the kind of score I was referring to that is only variations on a single theme. Don't get me wrong - it's a beautiful and evocative theme, but if you listen to the score by itself, it gets rather boring pretty quickly. In terms of being part of a film soundtrack, it does its job wonderfully. I still think Jurassic Park should have won that year, though. Even when separated from the film, it remains a (13?) movement orchestral piece. It isn't easy to do that with a film score. Either way, John Williams wrote both of them.Originally posted by Genuine_StudI can't believe none of you mentioned "Schindler's List" and "Good Will Hunting".

I love the Last of the Mohicans. Everything about that movie, including the music, rocks.
